Seaweed Rising is the new novel by UEA alumnus Rob Magnuson Smith and is published by Sandstone Press this week. Rob graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2010 as the recipient of the David Higham Award. He is the author of The Gravedigger and Scorper. His short fiction appears in Granta, Ploughshares, the Guardian, MoMA Magazine, the Australian Book Review and elsewhere. He has won the William Faulkner Award for the Novel and the Elizabeth Jolley Award for short fiction. A lecturer at Exeter University, Rob lives in Cornwall.
