Ayobami Adebayo & Thomas Morris longlisted for Dylan Thomas Prize

Two UEA alumni have been longlisted for the Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize, an award for the best published literary work in the English language written by an author aged 39 or under. Ayobami Adebayo (pictured), who graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) at UEA in 2014 and was the recipient of a full-fees International Scholarship, is nominated for her novel A Spell of Good Things; and Thomas Morris, who graduated from the Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) MA in 2013, is nominated for his story collection Open Up. The winner of the Dylan Thomas Prize will receive £20,000. The shortlist will be announced on 24 March and the winner will be revealed at an award ceremony on 16 May.
