
Griffiths, Elly
Elly Griffiths is the pen-name of Domenica de Rosa. A former Editorial Director for children’s books at Harper Collins, she published her first novel, The Italian Quarter, in 1998 under her own name. Her bestselling novel The Crossing Places was published in 2010, the first in the Dr Ruth Galloway series of mystery novels and her first as Elly Griffiths. This won the Mary Higgins Clark Award. Three subsequent novels in the series have been shortlisted for the Theakstons Crime Novel of the Year. She is also the author of the popular Stephens and Mephisto novels, which began with The Zig Zag Girl in 2014, and in 2016 she was awarded the CWA Dagger in the Library for her body of work.
